Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is for healthcare providers who respond to emergencies in infants and children. PALS is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that uses a series of simulated pediatric emergencies to reinforce the important concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment.
The goal of this course is to provide pediatric healthcare providers with the knowledge and skills necessary to efficiently and effectively manage critically ill infants and children and help improve outcomes. PALS covers pediatric emergencies; concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment; basic life support; PALS treatment algorithms; effective resuscitation; and team dynamics.
